James Vasek

A prominent figure in the industrial and process engineering fields, James Vasek has largely worked for Freescale Semiconductor for the majority of his career. Freescale Semiconductor, which merged with NXP Semiconductors in 2015, is a multinational corporation focused on design, research, development and manufacturing. Mr. Vasek has held a variety of roles with the company, including, process engineer, process engineering manage, research and development engineer and capital and capacity manager.

Mr. Vasek earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychics from Rice University in 1991. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin to earn a Master of Science in psychics and materials sciences. In addition to his work with Freescale Semiconductor, he has consulted for Brion Technologies. In 1991, he was recognized by Rice University with the Heaps Prize.

James Vasek Honored by Marquis Who’s Who for 20 Years’ Experience in the Sciences

​The holder of six patents, James Vasek has been named a Sciences Industry Expert
AUSTIN, TEXAS, November 17, 2016, James Vasek has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Over the course of two decades, Mr. Vasek has become an expert engineer. In 1991, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in physics from Rice University. Three years later, he obtained a Master of Science in materials science and a Master of Science in physics from the University of Wisconsin. Upon graduating with his masters degrees, he served as a process engineer for Freescale Semiconductor, which is now NXP Semiconductors, for four years. At that point, he became the company’s process engineering manager and subsequently, their research and development engineer; he held both positions for four years. Since 2008, he has worked as NXP Semiconductor’s industrial engineer.

In addition to his numerous roles with Freescale Semiconductor, Mr. Vasek served as a consultant for Brion Techs from 2003 to 2006. He has also been a contributor to many professional publications and won numerous awards for his work. In 1991, he was the recipient of the Heaps Prize from Rice University. He has also been included in Marquis’ most prestigious publication, Who’s Who in America, in the 65th, 66th, 69th and 70th editions. The holder of six patents, James Vasek has also been named a Sciences Industry Expert.
